The three main criteria were: innovation and the possibility of developing the project in the future; completeness of the project and the possibility of introduction into production; commercial potential. The best in the category “Design of shower panels from Granmatrix” is the work of Mihailo Stanic and Mladen Nikolic. For the design of the sink, the award goes to Emi Pehlivanovic, and for the pan handle to Djurdja Garcevic.
Constant progress and monitoring of innovations in design is a prerequisite for successful business and market positioning. Therefore, this year, Metalac, in cooperation with the Department of Industrial Design, FPU from Belgrade, announced a competition for the conceptual design of new products in three. The participants of the competition, students of III and IV year in the Industrial Design program, under the mentorship of their professors, showed a serious and systematic approach in designing new products.
In a fairly equal competition, minimalist design dominated, modern, straight lines, with reduced details that break the form and give it dynamics and flow. The jury, which consisted of professors from the Department of Industrial Design and representatives of Metalac, made all decisions quite unanimously.
By the way, the works from the competition were exhibited at the FPU in June, and as announced by the head of the department for industrial design, Professor Vladimir Zagorac, they will be presented twice more during the summer.
